He helped France win the World Cup in 1998. He won FIFA World Player of the Year three times and also the European Footballer of the Year in 1998. Later in his carrer, he was included on the list of the worlds greatest players of all time, a list composed by Pelé, the greatest player of all time. His retirement came around after the 2006 World Cup, where he headbutted another player before walking off the field.
